Yesterday was a very very long day – got home at 8pm from work, ate (3 square meals in the day) and then watched a film with Child2. Had really really strong chocolate cravings though so ended up having 2 squares of very dark chocolate (78%) to take the edge off. It didn’t. Lesson learnt 😉
Today we were out at an amusement park all day so I had just told myself to do what i could do. I had my usual breakfast smoothie. For lunch we always eat fish n’chips there but the restaurant had changed and the food was horrible. So bad, i left most of mine. This is a real weak spot for me – now I’m sticking to 3 meals a day, i want them to be good and feel cheated when they’re not! None of us enjoyed our meals or finished them. Within an hour, Child3 was asking for a donut. I went to get him one and with no conscious thought process going on, i ordered a piece of marble cake with smarties on top for me. It’s what I always got in the past from there. I kind of justified it (never a good sign) on the grounds that i hadn’t really eaten a full meal for lunch but knew that was bullshit. Anyway, i sat down at the table with it and Child3 said “hey, you’re not allowed to eat chocolate” and took it off me and ate it along with his donut!!!
I guess all’s well that ends well huh?!
